Starting point
Client: Porsche — Digital area for the Spanish and Portuguese markets. Collaboration start: 2019 (still active as a reference in technical SEO and performance).
In 2019, Porsche's digital team identified that their Spain and Portugal sites needed a deep review of their technical and performance foundation. There were three clear challenges:
Heavy load of scripts and tags (especially Google Tag Manager).
Complex architecture, with multiple tracking layers and resources impacting speed.
Need for a clear, prioritised document the dev team could follow without improvising changes.
They weren't looking for another campaign; they were looking for order and technical criteria.
What we did
Over one month we ran an advanced performance and technical SEO audit in depth.
We reviewed more than 90 key points, including:
How Google Tag Manager was set up and loaded.
Which resources were blocking load and affecting user experience.
Core Web Vitals behaviour on the most important pages.
Technical SEO implementation in templates and critical elements.
We tested different configurations in controlled test environments, measuring the real impact of each change before recommending it for production.
With all that work we delivered a clear roadmap for the Porsche development team, indicating:
which adjustments should come first,
which parts to simplify or restructure,
and how to maintain a healthy balance between performance, measurement and SEO.
Result and current relationship
The project allowed Porsche to:
locate and fix the main performance bottlenecks,
simplify and optimise their Tag Manager setup,
and improve the technical foundation that supports their SEO strategy in Spain and Portugal.
Today we still work with their digital team:
supervising the technical SEO side,
reviewing important changes before they go live,
and supporting decisions on performance and measurement whenever new developments come up for these markets.
